Made in Brooklyn is a food truck filling Los Angeles’ void for classic New York style pizza. Rooted in authenticity and meant to be eaten the right way – with your hands – Made in Brooklyn prepares its pies with fresh, high-quality ingredients and crafts its house-made tomato sauce, sausage, meatballs, and pizza dough in-truck using all of the same equipment found in New York’s best pizzerias. Offering pizza, stromboli, garlic knots, and salads for lunch and dinner, Made in Brooklyn is a food truck that makes pizza the way it’s supposed to be – the New York way.
The name Made in Brooklyn is inspired by chef and owner, Sean Popock, who was himself “made in Brooklyn” and grew up eating what he considers the best pizza in the world at family - owned pizzerias throughout his home borough. Sean moved to Los Angeles in 2005, to obtain his MBA at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, and after too many years of work in the corporate world, decided to pursue his passion for great wine and delicious food. With a Court of Master Sommeliers Level I Examination under his belt, Sean is now determined to bring authentic New York pizza to Los Angeles, with a one-of-a-kind food truck outfitted with the same traditional dual-deck gas pizza ovens found in New York’s best pizzerias. After many attempts in the kitchen and countless hours of research, Sean developed the perfect signature dough and house-made sauce recipes to be paired with the highest quality mozzarella and top ping s such as his house - made meatballs and sausage. After first hitting the streets in January 2016, Made in Brooklyn is bringing Los Angeles a food truck that meets the high bar New York sets for great pizza
